				   | Does anyone here that feeds raw put salmon oil on the raw food. I have Laya on NV venison medallions, but her skin seems a little dry. I thought salmon oil might help, but can I put it on the raw food?

				   | Yes, you can put it on the raw medallions. I used to when I first started feeding the NV raw but I stopped when I ran out of oil. Fortunately the improved diet really seemed to help Alex's dry skin & I haven't really needed the oil since.

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yes, you can. I feed raw and I use fish oil - I like Ark Natural's Royal Coat bc it is not just fish oil (EPA/DHA), but also contains borage oil, which has the fatty acids ALA and LA, which are particularly beneficial for skin. Also, it already has the Vit E in it, so you don't have to also get another supplement of E for giving the fish oil (you always need E when giving fish oil).

				   | Thanks for the reply. I will try the salmon oil. Sometimes I wonder if the dry skin is because I am bathing her too much. I bathe her once a week, but if I go any longer she stinks. LOL

				   | You can give salmon oil with Raw. I'd recommend Ark Naturals Royal Coat Express. It's a blend of Salmon Oil and Borage oil with added vitamin E for the body to process the oil. |

I just started carrying it...I ordered on 7/2 and I'm a bit surprised it's not here already. I know it has shipped, but I didn't get a tracking number. If you'd like, I can let you know when it does come in. | |
