| Yorkie will not swallow heartworm pill My 8 month old keeps spitting out her heartworm pill. I have tried every thing and wrapped every possible piece of food around it. She now runs and hides behind the toilet when she knows I am trying to give it to her. Help. |

| we always got the Heartguard chews, which Edie loved. Now, for some reason, it is in tablet form. I have to trick her into eating it. I think they still make the chews. I am going to ask for those again in the future. |

| I use the chewable kind. My guys eat it like cookies. You might want to try that kind.

| Interesting I never heard of the pill form. All I do is break it up in pieces and Buddy just gobbles it up. To him anything other than breakfast and dinner is a treat |

YT 500 Club Member | Sentinal is in a very small pill form. We use it and wrap it in cheeze. She never knows it is there. I hope you find the right trick for your baby.

| Some of mine wouldn't even eat the chewable ones. Solved the problem by using Revolution. Revolution also stopped Rosie from having a negative reaction to Frontline.

| Tatum takes her flea/heartworm pill in cheese BUT the trick is to have TWO little pieces of cheese. I wrap one piece around the pill and while I give that one to her, I have the other little piece in front of her face. She eats the first one - probably never even chewing - so fast because she knows she's getting another one. I have tried just the one piece with the pill in it and she will put it in her mouth, roll it around, swallow the cheese and daintily spit out the pill! Kills me!
