| Poop Eating Suggestions Lola does not like crushed pineapple and I know people have said that we could put a meat tenderizer in her food, so she wouldnt be inclined to eat her poop. She only eats the poop if we are not home to clean it up right away....she likes to stay clean and does not like a dirty wee wee pad near her at all! She will whine at whatever hour for me to change it. Can I just go to the supermarket and buy salt-free meat tenderizer or is there a special formula for dogs? |

| Wow your dog is eating its poop too...my sister in law is having this issue with her 3 mos shih tzu...she actually bought a tablet from petco for that. She grinds it up and sprinkle it over her food and that eliminates her from eating her poop. The tablet is called Coprophagia. I assume you can use it with yorkies as well but please ask the vet or the pet store. |

| Yah Ive had the same issue except with Charlie always eating Nana's poop. I asked my vet why he was doing it and he said that the younger pup will eat the older pups poop because they feel they need the extra nutrients. It could be the same case with your puppy except for eating her own. I tryed the pineapple but he still ate it.. I wonder if theres somthing else to give them? | I am having this problem with my puppy too. I've tried the pineapple but it didn't really work. I think I will try to get that pill from PetCo. I had not heard about the meat tenderizer solution. Hopefully we will get more suggestions in this thread. |

| I had this problem with my baby. I tried several things (pineapple, pills from petco, pills from the vet). None of these worked for me. My vet also mentioned using Accent meat tenderizor. Thankfully, she stopped...but it took a year. Good luck, I know how you feel it drove me crazy chasing her around the house trying to retrieve it from her |
