| VERY loose tooth that just keeps hanging in there Kandi has a baby tooth that is VERY loose...moves freely, but little blood. It just seems really attached to the tissue, but moves a lot. I've played tug of war with her and her toys, brushed her teeth...everything I can think of. She keeps licking it like it's worrying her, but I don't think she's in pain. I don't want to force it by pulling it. Any suggestions? I guess I should just leave it alone, right? Thanks in advance.

| Hey Judy, I've pulled Mimi's baby tooth (back molar) w/a wash cloth. It was actually moving around but her adult teeth was coming in on top, so I just pulled & it came out! If it's just hanging there, I'm sure it'll fall off eventually. Just pull it.

| Bella had a loose molar and my DH would play tug of war with her and then would take the towel and his finger and wiggle the tooth some. Finally it wiggled enough the tooth fell out. We are going through the same thing with Bella and will be happy when the teething is all over.

| Hi, Dont wait too long.... this happened with my pom. her baby tooth hadnt quite fallen out yet (it was just sort of hanging there) but i did not know. Then her adult tooth had come in with the babytooth still hanging there! So the baby tooth rotted and caused an infection in her mouth. I didnt kno about it until i took her to the vet for her shots and vet noticed it. It was very loose so all he was giv it a little tug and out it came (he didnt even charge for that). The vet told me it was painful for her cuz of the infected tooth. She had to be on antibotics. I did notice her breath smelled much better afterwards tho. |

| If you wiggle it it will hurt the baby. Just get a washcloth or a pwet paper towel and just pull it straight up, don't wiggle it. Your baby will feel much better when it's out. Remember the mouth bleeds more than any other place because it mixes with saliva wo it looks like alot. It will stop on it's own or yo can apply a little pressure. Hope your baby feels better soon. Aw teething... so cute

I guess the Tooth Fairy will be visiting tonight. You are NOT wierd for saving the tooth. I have a whole tooth collection - puppy teeth, cat teeth, horse teeth and even a goat tooth, plus ALL of the three kids teeth. | |

Judy I don't think it's weird at all. In fact i have teeth saved from all of mine. Right now Friday has the same issue she has that one remaining tooth hanging If it hasn't come out on it's own by this weekend I will be trying the washcloth advice.
