Puppies are unpredictible.. just because he didnt "poop on time" today or last night doesnt mean that thier is something wrong with him and you need to intervine. He will go when he is good and ready and if you dont "catch it" on time oh well.. clean it up and go on with your day. If you are that worried that he will poop on your floor, bed or whatever then put him in his crate.. plain and simple!
If he hasnt pooped a normal poop in a few days then try the pumpkin.

I have an outside dog who was not as young as Munchie when I got him, didn't need to be potty trained cause he was outside and only eats once a day and so poops once a day. I never even kept up with him using the bathroom cause he was outside free to do it whenever, wherever he wants to. So yes I am new to this puppy, potty training, house dog, yorkie thing

I probably wouldn't worry about it too much. Sasha sometimes only goes once a day, sometimes she goes twice a day! She doesn't really have a set time that she poops though. Like others have said, you can try taking him for a walk to "get things moving" and maybe he'll go then!

Its great that you are trying so hard to do the right things with Munchie. To error towards the side of caution is a good philosophy, IMO. Nevermind the rude people, just continue to use YT for what it is...a place to gather and exchange information. Remember, its better to ask a question and receive a 100 obvious answers, than it is to not ask a question and wonder "what if"

Honestly, I really do not believe anybody was trying to be rude to you. It is just that they see that your overreacting to the slightest thing about your puppy. Try to just calm down and relax. Your puppy is going to vary sometimes , in his bodily functions. It's ok. i understand you do not want a mess on the floor. But, he is not a robot. He is nnot going to always run a perfect schedule. He can't help it. Just like we can't predict when we potty all the time. This is why I prefer using potty pads. They are life savors ! I have a 15 month old Yorkie and a 9 week old Shih Tzu who use them ! they are wonderful.
Try not to get defensive when you get responses. I am sorry if you do not like the answers you recieve. Your puppy is very young, and potty training takes a long time and a lot of patience. however, he will get there It is just that he is not going to always be predictable . Or follow a timely schedule. I know that can be frustrating, but he is just a puppy , so we have to just be a lot more patient and understanding. Best wishes to you and little Munchie .

You also say that I have started 122 threads and thats a record because your not even close to that and you been here since 2006!!! I joined in Feburary and got Munchie at the end of May. But just because I joined in Feb does not mean I just started researching then, I been for many months and just ran over this site. Then read through some of the threads already made. You can even use the search feature to see if there are threads on a particular subject. Then if you still have questions, open a new thread. "

So -- I gave you a series of 4 steps that might help you in finding answers -- the first of which was reading a couple of books and the last of which was making a new post. I also made it very clear that I did not want to stop you from posting as I said: "I don't want to thwart your efforts to start new threads or ask questions here... "

You can't pick one line out and try to make it look like I said something different than I did. Intelligent people can see that I did not try to tell you to just go read books. But picking just one of several available options is the point I was making, and now you sort of did the same thing with my post. I thought you might benefit from all of the resources that are available.

" I am just trying to tell you that people's personal experience about their dogs are already available in several other options. Have you read any of the stickies on puppy training? Have you used the search option to see if there are other threads on a subject you are interested in? I thought you might be able to use those resources to help. If you would rather not, and need to start a thread on every thought that pops in your head, that is okay too. But I thought the whole forum might benefit if you saw some other options.
