| Is my dog pregnant? Hi i have a lil yorkie female who i have taken to be bred by a yorkie male. She would be 50 days pregnant now but from looking at other pregnant yorkie bellys on the internet hers is not even close to being that big. When does there belly usually start to really show? When i feel her belly it does feel firm and round about the size of an apple. Should i take her to the breeder and let her see if shes pregnant? What signs should she be showing now if she is pregnant? |

| I'm not sure is it something that is done regularaly in small dogs? Her belly does seem to be getting a lil bigger but i don't see or feel any movement. I'm almost thinking i should make a vet appointment to make sure its not an infection or faulse pregnancy. |

| If you think she is pregnany, she needs to see a vet for prenatal care. Did you switch her to puppy food yet? Have you stopped flea meds just in case? Are you comfortable/have you read about assisting her with delivery? Then you will need to be able to get a hold of a grand or two in case she needs a c-section, etc. How much does she weigh?

| I have been taking care like shes is pregnant all along. I have changed her dog food and she is eating way more than usual. We don't use flea meds ip here as our climate doesn't allow for fleas. I'm comfortable in delivery pups as i have done so in many larger dogs and i've also watched many yorkies givinig birth on you tube and looking at their bellies is want got me wondering if my lil is even pregnant because her tummy is nowhere near that big. The breeder lives a few blocks away and i'm going to see her tommorrow and see what she thinks. Puddin is exactly four pounds. |
