| You can actually still find real baby carrots. If you look closely you can usually tell the difference between the ones that were regular carrots shaved down and the REAL baby carrots. Now whether the real baby carrots are dipped in chlorinated water or not is another question. My own drinking water is already so chlorinated I smell it in the shower. So, I doubt I could get any more risk from the carrots.

| And don't forget...we'll need that machine to "shape" our ugly carrots into the cute little cocktail ones that I always swore tasted better, too! ![]() Note to self: Buy a packet of carrot seeds to plant!

| They are not adding cane sugar, it is a natural sugar. Apples have "sugar" in them too. I like baby carrots & their sweetness. |

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | I buy the organic baby carrots so I think it's ok...and I think that moderation is also important....

| I have to agree with the "there is chlorine in your drinking water" group. We occasionally give our yorkie slivers (using a peeler) of baby carrots and he loves it. I will also add that my dogs and cats drink water out of my pool and have never had a flea on them. That is not the main source of their water btw. I did ask my vet about drinking pool water and no fleas and he said that there is some chlorine in the flea meds that you put on their skin to keep fleas off. I have not researched this, because I have never had to use them, but it might be something to look into. I have also read a few threads here about how bad these meds are for some dogs and am not advocating using them at all, especially since I do not use them. I just wanted to give my experience. |
