| I've never been asked to bring in a urine sample, so this is good information to know. The things I've learned on YT!

| Why would Anyone want to put their baby thru an un necessary needle??? It hurts... would you want a needle stuck into your bladder just to make it easier for you??? IMO No Way.. use a soup ladel and sve the pain and the cost!

They can be contaminated and if the urine is going to be sent to culture, it should be taken from them anyway. It is also difficult to catch enough from Ellie at times. The last time I tried it I did get enough but not much to spare. If she really needs a test ran that day and I goof up and don't catch enough then they will have none to take from her as a backup. I just keep her confined a couple hours before going to the vet and then there is enough to take. For a routine u/a then sure, try to get some from them if you'd rather but it isn't always the best way...

| He said we could just bring it in. Whatever the vet is looking for, should be pretty routine and easy to spot. He did say to make sure we refrigerated it if it was going to be a few hours before we could bring it in. Also, he's not really using pee pads now, so that doesn't work. I tried the soup ladel and got a few drops before he stopped and looked at me. It looks like I'm not going to be able to get a couple ounces in one sitting.

| So I just had to do this with my Tinker Belle. This is what I did and the vet said it was fine................not perfect but when urine is hard to come by well then this apparently will do. She would'nt potty at the vet. so they said just bring it back in a little vile that they provided along with a small syringe. All I had to do was wait for her to miss the pee pad as she does quite often. I syringed it up,squeezed it out into the vile and wala it was done. Tinker doesn't pee much at a time just like 20mm and the Dr. was able to use it. Hope this helps |

| That is the way I have done it. I think it is the easiest. |

I would be comfortable with those test results.
