Back to school doggy depression? Does anyone else have a yorkie who is depressed because the kids went back to school? I think Roxy is depressed because her brothers aren't home anymore. She doesn't really want to take her walk after the bus leaves. Then she just lies around all day. She really isn't eating that well either. The worst part is I was cleaning up in another room and she let out a cry that sounded like she was in pain! I ran in, started crying and thought she was dying! I called my friend who also has a yorkie and she said her girl was acting the same way. Needless to say I stayed by her side all day. When the kids and my husband came home, she perked right up. I guess she is depressed. Last edited by Beachitmom; 09-17-2005 at 07:17 PM. Reason: word left out

Tippy was also depressed My Tippy had little 'Molly' s**tz poo visit for a week and they played and played. So cute!!! When she had to go home he was definately depressed. He wouldn't eat and kept looking for Molly. It's been 5 days and he just ate his first real meal and is acting like him self again. I went to the vet today to get him some different food and he had lost 3/4 of a pound!!! Now he's 4 lbs 8 oz. Phew. I was really worried also. I think you should just snuggle her and give her lots of attention and hopefully she will come around, poor baby.

Isn't it just amazing hoe they are so much like people? I am glad your baby is eating again. Roxy still isn't eating that well, but she is between 7 and 8 lbs. so she is a good weight. I took her to visit her yorkie friend Nyla but, she didn't even feel like playing with her! I am so worried. I hope this stops soon. Thank God she is OK when the husband and kids come home! I just wish she would eat!
