| upset tummy? Yesterday my fiance came home from work and was playing with my baby..... "roughhousing" fiance was throwing him around a little bit (not anything to hurt him, it was all on a soft feather comfortor) and toby threw up all over the bed! My fiance thought he might be a little sick, he checked the gums and they were white so he gave toby some nurtical (i have never given toby nutrical, but i keep it for emergencies..... he usually doesnt have a problem with blood sugar because hes a bigger sized yorkie and has always done good without it)... anyways, my fiance left him on the bed to sleep but toby was sooooooooooo guilty about throwing up ont he bed he ran and hid in his crate! (poor baby) My fiance had to PRETEND to be me coming home (opening the front door and closing it) for toby to come out of his crate! and when he did he was all lethargic (this is when my fiance gave him nutrical) and they went to sleep together on the couch....... by the time i got home he was jumping up on me n stuff..... but it made me so nervous, he is still doing good i think he just had an upset tummy..... im going to give him more nutrical before i go to work (just in case) The kicker was that he thought he was a "bad dog" because he was sick.... my baby is such a sweetie |

| yes, it sounds like he got sick from the motion... Kinda like being car sick.. some are very sensitive to that. I had a male that would throw up in the car about two miles down the road.. He just couldn't handle the motion. poor baby, I'm sure Toby will be fine.

| Might be low blood sugar When their gums get white that usually means low blood sugar. Ask your fiance if he had anything to eat at all before then. If not, then the playing around probably used up any energy that he had, and then once his blood sugar dropped it caused him to throw up. Giving him nutrical was definitely the right thing. How big is your pup? I think no matter how big the dog is if their blood sugar drops they get sick. My boyfriend's sister's dalmation is a picky eater and when she doesn't eat she throws up too. So that could have been the problem, but it also could have been the rollercoaster ride he was on . |
