Food allergy?? Molly's really been itching a lot lately. I did treat her for fleas, but can't find any more on her. I went to Petsmart and got some oatmeal flea and tick shampoo. She was itching a little less. But then someone told me that chewing on the feet was a sign of food allergy. So back to Petsmart. The manager I talked to was so helpful, asking me a lot of questions. He said that corn seemed to be a big problem for skin allergies. Has anyone heard that before? I also told him that I couldn't spend way too much on food. He directed me to Nature's Recipe. I started with the lamb and rice, mixing it in a little at a time. This is the first food that she has come running for when she hears me filling her bowl. She's not as stinky, and has not been chewing on her feet as much. And it's not too bad on price. Anyone else using this brand? Carla

Corn is usually a common allergy among dogs. That's why you'll find a lot on this forum that most members recommend using a food that doesn't include, corn, wheat, soy or by-products. I don't use Nature's Recipe but I checked out their website and took a look at the ingredients and it doesn't look too bad. Plus if the price works for you and your dog likes it, that's all that counts! I'm sure others that are using or have used this brand could help you out a bit more.

i had a problem the past week when i was watching my dads dog and cash was eating that dogs food, he got really itchy, icky eyes, licking the bottoms of his feet and eating alot of grass, which he never did. Once the food got out of his system he is almost back to normal with a hint of seasonal allergies I think. I dont have any experience with that food, but I hope it works out for you! good luck!
