| For parents who feed raw... and for babies who have long hair, do their beards get dirty? I used to have to mix kibble with canned otherwise Uni wouldn't eat. Thank god she eats kibble plain now. it's so much easier. What do you all do? Seems like it would be a big mess!? Just wondering.

| Myah doesn't make a mess. She is very dainty when eating and I break up the food into small bite size pieces for her. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Mine eat raw and don't get messy at all....and I don't know why, really. But there is no mess at all.

| Sasha gobbles hers up pretty quickly but for the most part, she doesn't really make a mess of it. I just cut the medallions up into smaller pieces so she doesn't inhale it whole. If anything, sometimes I'll wipe her beard off with a washcloth and warm water, but honestly half the time, I don't really need to. |

| I don't have any issue with Sophie getting messy with her raw. I feed raw because I can't get Sophie to eat anything else and she's even particular about what flavor raw. She prefers Beef and Venison. The one big advantage I notice with the raw, is less poop. Sophie poops about a 1/3 of what she used to when I was managing to get dry and/or can down her. |

| Hello Noonie!!! I'm a raw feeder and just love it. There really is no mess. The medallion is completely defrosted and is in a chunk form. It's not like shredded chicken, it's hard to explain, kinda like a smooth, combined texture (if that makes sense??) I cut Snickers' medallion up into about 8 pieces so he doesn't wolf the whole thing down. I also wipe his beard off with a warm baby wipe after as well just in case...but really it's not needed. The 1 thing I do religiously is right after he eats I wash everything (his dish, container raw defrosted in, & plastic knife) with HOT steaming water and soap. I defrost his medallions separately, small plastic containers, I think normally used for condiments. It makes me feel more clean since I can wash the container immediately after he eats. Try it...you will love it...no more picky eaters!! Snick eats Evo kibble on the side as well...it's always out and he picks at it now and then....

| Thanks for the info! I'm gonna try it as soon as we finish Uni's kibble bag!
