| Limping This morning I got up, went downstairs as usual, hubby was already up and let the babies outside to potty. I said where's Brutis? DH said he wouldn't go out, he's somewhere in the house. I searched and could not find him. All of a sudden he appeared and was limping, holding up his left back leg, not whining or anything like he was in pain. We watched him for a few min. I had decided to go take a shower and take him to the vet. I picked him up and dh was feeling of his legs and said I'm no vet but I don't think it's broken. Maybe he sprained it. When I sat him on the floor, he acted like nothing was wrong, walking normal on all four legs. How weird. Has any of yours ever done this? DH didn't know if he had jumped off the couch or anything, he was in the kitchen. Babies were in the living room. Now it's been about 3 hours and he's acting just fine. Any ideas?

| Limping Your puppy probably has early stage luxating patella. Do a search for this and you'll find lots of info. It seems to be more and more common with Yorkies. |

| Sounds like one of those ouchies that after the pain went away he forgot about it. He might have landed wrong after jumping off the couch. Just keep an eye on him. |

| Poor baby. Could he just have been laying on it 'wrong' and needed to work the kink out? I'd be concerned also and would keep a close eye on him. Has your vet looked at his knees before and said anything? Don't you just hate these mystery ailments!

| I don't know if he jumped off the couch, knowing him he probably did. He is 4lbs of pure energy. He charges out the door if he hears the least little sound. And he will jump off of anything. He will be 2 in July. Hopefully he just landed wrong or something, I would just not even want to think that it could be something more serious. He has never done this before. He is still acting just fine.

| Hi, I wouldn't worry if he's ok now. My lttle guy was @ 4 months old and playing with his much bigger brother when he let out a yelp and was guarding his back leg. I picked him up checked everything, massaged the leg for a minute and he went back to playing. Nothing ever did come of it. Could of been his knee out of place briefly. Two of my three sometimes develop of a "hitch" in thier get-a-long and they will stretch thier hind legs out in back and drag them a few inches, and it puts them back in place.
