| Halp! Fleas! Ew! My little boy ran away on Friday night but was found Saturday morning. He must have picked up some fleas on his wild night out. He was scratching a lot on Saturday. I felt so bad for him because he couldn't even sleep. On Sunday, I put Revolution on him and on Monday morning I gave him a Dawn bath. He seems to be a little better and I found some dead fleas on my bedding, so I guess they are dying...but he is still scraching a lot. I have only had him for 3 weeks, so I have no idea what to do. Is there anything else I can put on him? How many Dawn baths am I supposed to give him? What do I do with my house? Carpet? and Bedding? My heart breaks as I see him scratching. I feel so helpless. Any ideas? |

| My vet put my kids on comfortis about six months ago, and I'll tell you it's the best thing I've every used. Not one flea. It's a pill you give them instead of a topical treatment. Good luck, and I'm glad you found the little bugger.

| Have you had any problems with the Comfortis in the 6 months you have used it on your little ones? I am considering using it on my four Yorkies, nothing else seems to work in South GA. I have one problem, I believe the weight recommendation starts at 5lbs and my smallest Yorkie is 4.8 lbs. How much do yours weigh? Thanks! Lisa |

| If you are flea infested... there truely is NOTHING else but to flea bomb. I would not let this be your first plan of attach though as it is a lot of poisons YUCK! FIRST try diatamaceous earth FOOD GRADE ... MUST MUST MUST be food grade. It is a holistic WONDERFUL pesticide/dewormer. I could get some for you if you want to try it/can't find it around you. Just PM me for more information. I love this stuff. Did you leave the Dawn wash on for a while? Any thick shampoo works (the SPA collection works great Minksheen/CloudNine Buddy Shampoo FULL Strength works too) Soap them up like normal and leave it on for minimum of 3 mins. This is to drown the fleas. Flea protection (the topical kind) must be put on 3 days AFTER/BEFORE a bath!!!! Comfortis is a tablet you can get at your vet that lasts the actual 30days. It is WONDERFUL! Being in Florida I have tried all the flea topical ones and a few tablets. I hope I could help. These little buggers DRIVE ME NUTS!!! |
