| Changing food formula emergency So I'm leaving on vacation on Thursday and my cousin is going to be dogsitting. They have enough food to last through Saturday, so I want to make sure I get another bag before hand, naturally. I have been to all the PetSmart's and PetCo's in our county and I can not find their food. I have always fed them Nature's Recipe Easy to Digest Fish and Potato. Well, they all have the Nature's Recipe Easy to Digest, but it's the Chicken, Rice, and Barley flavor. I really have no choice but to buy the Chicken flavor, but what concerns me is Chip and Smokey have really sensitive stomachs and I don't want them sick while I'm gone. Would it hurt them to change flavors or will they be okay? I do have some anti-diarrhea medicine that my cousin can give them just in case. Any ideas? Suggestions? I have to buy them a new bag tomorrow afternoon.

| You could see if you can find it online, order and have it shipped to your cousin. At least you would know it is the same food and wouldn't have to worry about tummy upsets. You could have it express shipped. It may cost more, but it's a thought.

| I actually did try to see how much it would cost but just for standard shipping it would be $17, which would bring my total to $43. For that price, I might as well go get the biggest bag in the store for $38 and I know they have it in that. I just can't really afford the $38 bag right now. I think I'll go back and see if maybe they have the fish and potato in stock at least and if not, I'll either suck it up and buy the largest bag or decide to switch them to the Chicken and Rice flavor.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would try not to switch them. I just added some kibble of the same brand of the canned I am feeding them and Cali had to go to the vets for stomach upset. She still isn't feeling well so I am not sure if it was the food or not. But since you are going to be gone I know I would feel better not taking any chances.
