| Baby teeth Curly Mac has lost nearly all her baby teeth and her new adult teeth are so pretty and nice. Thing is, she hasn't lost her two top "fangs" and the adult ones are coming in next to them (inline). My question is, would it help if I sort of jiggle them for her like kids do when they have a loose tooth? They are somewhat loose, not quite ready to fall out but loose enough to bother her so she can't chew her yorkie yummies and this makes her sad cuz she lives for those treats! |

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | lol they take them out when they get spayed but typical Tias mouth was fine at 6 mths. Yes her baby canines are along side her adult ones. The vet saw her a month ago and said they should come out on their own .We are hoping, just don't want her to have another op yet.Is your baby going to be spayed?

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | Here is a pic of her having her teeth brushed. If you look closely you can see her baby canines in her upper mouth. 172550368c.jpg

| I think that they will most likley fall out on their own, espeically if all of her other teeth are out at 6 months. Ben's last canine (fang) tooth didnt fall out until he was like 10 months old, and it was right along side his adult one. We played alot of tug of war and one day I looked at his mouth and it was gone!

| Yep that's JUST what Curly's look like! I am still debating the spay thing. This is a very difficult decision for me! I know both sides of the argument and both make very good points. I'll work it out soon. Now the question is, how on earth do you get her to sit for brushing? Curly tries to eat me alive when I do that!!! |

The same thing happened to Gizmo except it was the bottom row. The lower "fangs" grew in and the baby ones were still next to them on the outer side. They eventually loosened up and fell out on there own. I would just be patient. One day I looked at his teeth and they were gone just like that!

| My little guy had the same problem and I ended up getting them pulled when he got neutered. No matter how I jiggled and wriggled they were staying put. He is is 10 months old and had lost all his baby teeth by 6 months, except those. |

| Our vet said don't wiggle the baby teeth...cuz it hurts them. He did say to play tug of war. It'll help pull the teeth out...it really works. What also works is to get a small cloth & pull the teeth out. It doesn't hurt them,,,I've pulled several safely this way...don't wiggle, just pull. Those baby canines can be very deep rooted & need dental surgery to remove, good to do it at the same time w/spay or neuter.

| Brody also had trouble losing his two top baby canines . . . he was 11 months old when they both came out . . . Rhianna on the other hand . . .hers show no sign of budging . . .and she is 12 months old . . .so what I do is floss them daily . . .so that way if any food gets stuck in there it doesn't cause too much plaque and/or tarter.
