| Why did your vet give this drug. I read up on it Triamcinolone Acetonide (Vetalog®, Panalog®) but we need to know why he is taking it.

| So you're calling your vet a "scammer" because you didn't research ahead of time what you were giving your dog? How exactly is he "scamming" you? There are other options for allergies, but you need to do some research and learn about your options. If your vet isn't willing to discuss other options, maybe you need to consider a new vet.

| dont judge if you dont know everything! Thats not the only reason i am saying he is a scammer their are so many but he is the only vet in town he has gone to court for so many things already it is rediculous. Hence he is the only vet in town i really dont have any other options. I have told him about the vetalog all he has to say is that there are "plenty of other dogs that take it without their owners saying something is wrong" Well buddy i am not one of those owners and keeps leaving him on the same meds. |

| So what is the hold up? You get on the bus or get in your car and go to the next town. Try benadryl in the meantime. My vet is over 30 miles away so I understand, but you can't just sit and ring your hand and go woohh is me........

| 6 months old and on steroids for allergies does sound really suspicious to me. Did your vet do bloodwork before prescribing the Vetalog? Did he have you try an antihistamine first? Do you know what kind of allergy it is that he's treating?

I would take him to another clinic and get a second opinion. Allergies at six months old are highly unlikely.
