| Will Spaying Work? I would love in the very near future to own a female yorkie but I have 3 males already in the house a staffie(11yrs), gt dane(18mths) and Mika(7mths) Would spaying her stop the male dogs from annoying her, or would they still show interest in her? I have always owned male dogs so having a little girl will be new to me. Thanks

For what it's worth, I have all female dogs and they are all spayed.. and they all hump each other all the time. It isn't just something dogs do when unfixed or in season, it is to show dominance as well

| Well, I have 5 females and only one male. 3 of my females are spayed and he is not the least bit interested in them. When one of my unspayed girls goes into heat, then he is very interested. So I would think that spaying your female would be a good idea. |

| Only one of my females does that, my littlest one, and she is spayed. It doesn't happen very often, occasionly she will, usually just evokes a puzzled look from the other dog, lol. |
