| *UPDATE ON BOOTS* Help!!! crystals in urine! =( MY BABY'S STORY: Okay. so Boots is 18 wks and paper trained... everyday I put a new set of newspapers for him.. but this morning, I noticed crystals in one of the areas he had peed on (it was dry)!!! but he hasnt been acting any different. I havent changed his food either. He peed again, and there were no in that area. This may be gross.. but I had to do it... So then I swiped my finger to feel how it felt. and they're smaller than salt. Sorta softer. but really glass looking, though they do not feel like glass... any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated, I am soo scared!! oh yes, and right now, I want to take him to the vet but my brother took my car! thank you. UPDATE* This had happened on Tuesday. I had made an appt for Boots for the following day but the vet cancelled on me!!!... and for some reason they werent able to see him thursday... Tuesday was the first and "last" time he had crystals in his urine. until today I noticed more crystals in one of his urine puddles! again!!! aahhh. In between jobs, I took him to the vet... after a couple of hours waiting for the vet! He got a urineanalysis and this is what the vet said: "we really didnt see much in the urine. some amorphic crystals [no phospgate or calcium], but no signs of infection. pH was normal [6.0]. I recommend monitoring or considering changing his diet to Hills C/D. If it continues he should definately be monitored." thank you for prayers and comments! Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hope he will be ok. Cali had crystals and a slight infection and they gave me some medicine and it cleared it right up and she never had them againm knock on wood. One of the medicines they gave her was some sort of cranberry type powder to sprinkle on her food. I hope Boots' crystal's clear up. One thing that alerted me to Cali's crystal's was that she was licking down there and it was irritated fromm passing the crystals.
