Now... the other discussion thread that was linked up (from another site) had the first poster saying that her dog was also on medication and that a reaction to the medication was their first thought... I really hope Wellness is okay for Meg. Oh, and I hope she will eat it, too! She's so picky. |
got the free sample. I tried feeding it to charlie but he refused to eat it. So I stick with natural balance however i did change the flavor. He wasn't interested in the duck and potatoe so now i am feeding him the premium. He seems to like it and will eat it without adding the food roll to it. |
i am giving my girl wellness core right now... i will stop it and start with orijen again. Although they have been on it for a while and are fine but, better be safe than sorry |
you guys realize your making a decision to change food based on like 5 people out of probably hundreds of thousands who have no problems with the food. Plus after reading that thread its highly unlikely that wellness caused the problem in the first pace. They could have said any food company and still had those same problems. I can't find any other information about problems with wellness anywhere else on the internet. |
Exactly. Pepper has been eating Wellness almost his entire life. No issues here. I for one will not change foods because of something a handful of people are saying. Besides I just switched him to the Small Breed Adult and he loves it. He really likes the little bite size pieces. :D |
Max has had no problems on Wellness Small Breed. He eats the canned purple and orange cans soft food to. He is almost done with his second 4# bag. He just gets bored so I have to alternate kibble between WSB and Innova (green bag). He DID NOT have any health issues with WSB. He is just picky-LOL I am still going to feed him the Wellness canned soft food. There is no recall or anything going on with Wellness I can find. Every dog reacts differently to foods. I would not change Max just becasue a few people are saying "their dog had issues". I do not think this is a cause for everyone to change foods  |
Im not going to switch them unless we start having a problem. They both love it. |

Im going to disagree with you about the bloating in dogs.:) I had my dogs on Totw and 2 out of the 4 dogs I have had terrible gas and bloating from the FOOD not from eating to fast.. my poodle is only 4pounds and eats 1 to 2 pieces at a time not the whole bowl, So yeah its possible that the dogs could of had bloating from the food alone. It doesnt suprise me anymore with the food companies and sick pets. I dont understand why they have to continually change thier products when what they had was working. They probably switched ingredients cause they were cheaper somewhere else and didnt tell anyone about it making dogs ill from the change.. didnt canidae do the same thing not to long ago?? I hope no more dogs get sick. :( |

I've fed Lily Wellness since she was a puppy, and she's always done GREAT on it: regular firm poops, etc.... until just recently when she's been having some problems with diarrhea. I just posted a thread on the sick/injured forum, but I'M NOT SURE if the Wellness really has anything to do with her diarrhea yet. My aunt who's a vet recommends Wellness too, by the way. |
Both my dogs are on Wellness Core and so far haven't had a problem is there a link that indicates the purchase of Wellness & Eagle by Wellpet. |
I really am happy with wellness. I have two dogs on Wellness Core (Low Fat) and one on small breed. I am going to stick with it. |
I had always been happy with it too, but, also noticed they were real gassy. Since I have switched no more gas. I don't know, I was just asking the question to see if anyone else had had a problem with it since they have been bought out. Frankly, I don't want to take a chance. I will continue to feed Royal Canine or Inovia. I interswitch sometime to give them a change. Hope no one has a problem but I was just wondering. It is scary when you love them so much and want them to have the best. Not everyone has the time to cook for them too. I would if I have too. One of these days it may come to it. We really know for sure what they are putting in the food. I had mine on Blue Buffalo when all the recall happened. Called them, and they said it was safe. Next thing I knew it was also recalled. Of course they are not going to be honest if there was anything. Again, its all about money. But not at my babies expense. |

I agree that we should not be freaking out and changing foods becuase of what a few people have said. Im sure every brand/type of food out there has had a bad effect on atleast a couple dogs. I would think if our babies have been on it for a while and you\'ve noticed no differences and the FDA hasn\'t started investigating Wellness/Wellpet then they will probably be ok. |
Is Wellness Core\'s kibble size a little bit big? I always thought it was big and felt like mImi would not eat it cause of that.. |
