| Puppy won't eat Hi everyone, My puppy Sylar (who is 8 months today, yay!) won't eat his dry food anymore. I've been feeding him Wellness Super5Mix Just for Puppy and he's been doing well up until recently about 2-3 weeks ago. He'll only eat if I mix it with the canned food and even then it's a big deal if he eats. He'd rather play or sleep than eat. He's about 6.5lbs, I'm not sure how much bigger he's suppose to get and if not eating has been stunting his growth. I expected him to be much bigger. Should I try a different brand of food and when should I start giving him adult food? Thanks so much fellow YorkieTalkers! <3 |

| Have you tried mixing the food with cheese, cottage cheese or bites of chicken?

| I went to a pet store earlier today thinking I should change his food because he is probably just sick of the one he currently eats. A pet store associate helped me and asked me various questions. He said I'm most likely feeding my puppy too much so he's usually full and can go on without eating for a day or so and that it's normal because at his age he's growth is slowing. He said Wellness is a very good choice and if it made me happy to go ahead and start switching to adult forumla. I decided to try Wellness Core. We'll see how that goes later tonight. I bought it for $15.99 but I went down the road to one of my favorite delis and checked out the pet store there and I think they sell it for almost $9.76..I'm contemplating returning it but that's too much driving. |
