Donating YT Addict | Question about feeding schedule Ok I have a question about when you feed your yorkie......this is my dilema... Tyke is 10 monthes old and he hasn't been eating as good as he used to. He won't eat in the morning......sometimes he will and sometimes he don't. Ususally i feed him around 12 and then maybe some dry in the evening, but he isn't eating much. Is he slowing down because he's getting close to the one year mark or could you give me some ideas of what your yorkie did at this age? thanks for any advice.......

| How big is Tyke? Some dogs are pickier than others. I always feed mine twice a day, at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. plus they get a snack at bedtime. I think the most important thing is to consider if your male is at his proper weight. If he seems satisfied and is not underweight I would not worry too much. Does he have dry food always available? What type of food do you feed? Does he get lots of exercise or does he lay around a lot? |

| As Sasha got older, she became a picky eater as well. Part of it is probably my fault, but I learn from my mistakes! She never wanted to eat in the morning as well (and still doesn't) so now she doesn't get her food until the evening around 5 or 5:30. She gets some treats throughout the day (carrots, potty treats, cherrios) as well as some cottage cheese every now and again to hold her over. In the evening she gets some dry mixed with canned. |
