| The way I see it is it this. Too much time went by between the first and second DHPP, so the first one was worthless. Not enough time went by between the second or third DHPP, so it may have been ineffective. You could revaccinate with DHPP one more time as the vet wants or you could titer to see if antibody levels are sufficient. I would probably revaccinate personally. In my opinion, the vet needs to give you a very good reason to continue giving lepto. The rabies is good for a year.

| I do want to say that the only vaccine that must be given by a vet is rabies. Any other vaccine can be bought and given by anyone. The smaller the dog, the longer it usually takes to lose baby teeth and for adult teeth to come in. I'm sure your vet was just trying to be extra cautious but that is a big assumption with the age of your pup. You can't judge a toy breed like you would a large breed. I can see why he was concerned with the vaccines as they were given too far apart. Way too many vaccines in that combo and way too many given at once! I would only give distemper, parvo and adenovirus...it usually comes with parainfluenza as DHPP. But I think parainfluenza is unneccessary. And then rabies at a seperate time.

| I called the vets office this morning and the only shot she is due for now is the Booster for Distemper. I assume this is ok to go ahead and give to her?
