| His "thing" is irritated Umm, I didn't know how to put this, but I just noticed JoJo's skin covering his "lipstick" is red and irritated. Not the whole thing, there's just a skinny line of red skin that's about a 1/2 inch long. I had him in a belly band yesterday for a couple hours when I went to my mom's so I'm wondering if that's the cause. He keeps licking it, so I'm not sure if it's hurting him. Is there anything I can put on it, and does anyone know if using the belly band perhaps caused this? |

Do you mean that his penis is coming out of the skin that covers it?

| It might be irritated because of the belly band. I would give him a little warm bath. Maybe it just needs to be washed a little. It can't hurt to try.

| No, it's not his actual penis....it's the skin that hides it, but a bit further back, if that makes sense. Thankfully I've never seen the actual thing come out from hiding lol! Anyway, it almost looks like a cut, because it's a straight red line that's inflamed slightly, but it's not a cut. Or almost like a rug burn, but just a small area. |

| LOL thats too funny! I'm hoping I never have to see JoJo's umm, "red rocket", lol. Although, he does love to hump so it's probably inevitable lol. |

I would suggest giving him a bath as suggested above and if it does not look better today I would call the vet.

| It could be from the belly band. Id put him in a onesie and try not to let him lick it for a while so it can heal up a bit.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give him a gentle bath and see how it looks tomorrow. Hopefully he doesn't keep messing with it so it heals up fast. | |
