| We use the generic version of Atopica. I wish I had known about it earlier. It has made life so much better for Paris. We spend about $20 a month...she gets it every second day now. In the beginning she had to take it every day for the first month and then we were able to reduce the dosage based on her symptoms. Now we have our happy Paris again.

| I saw this site on another thread. I'm thinking about maybe trying this- Spirit Essences - Ultimate Skin Soother It's a flower essence 3 pack: Factors such as food, inhalant and environmental allergies, as well as everyday stressors can lead many animals to believe that they are under attack from their own skin. Skin Soother helps to break the cycle of anxiety and balance the energy system, allowing the healing to begin from the inside out. Obsession Remedy compliments this set by providing additional relief for animals with obsessive-compulsive behaviors, such as excessive grooming, licking, pulling out fur (including "bald-belly syndrome"), scratching, chewing, or self-mutilation. Finally, Stress Stopper is included to help bring your vulnerable animal companions "off the ceiling," when everyday stressors send them into the red. The stress stopper would be great for both Sugar and Spike. Neither like to ride in the car and Spike has a rain fear. It doesn't even have to thunder, just rain. I'm not sure if they would do much for Sugar's eyes but maybe would help stop his occasional skin flare ups. Does anyone have any experience with these?

| Wow, sorry y'all, I am all over the map. After looking at Susan Davis' site better I see they offer many holistic supplements for allergies. I think I'm just going to hold off on ordering anything right now and schedule a telephone consultation with her. We're going out of town on Thurs. so hopefully I can do it by the beginning of next week.

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Nikki - you will love Susan if you use her, she is so fabulous! Poor Sugar - Marcel's eyes are a bit gunky/runnier right now too - the pollen (pollen.com) is really high here right now. Sometimes during allergy season, Marcel will get conjunctivitis - do you think Sugar might have that right now? If you pull his lower lid out and if it's super red, then maybe it's conj. - but could be just allergies too. Wylie once had an eye infection and he too started losing hair around his eye - I think it was from him scratching the area and then the skin may have become infected and he lost some hair, but it came back.Like Amanda said, I started Marcel on Moducare - but it takes about 3 wks before I can really see results, so we'll see. On Susan's site, check out Sterol117 - the active ingredient in there is what's in Moducare. Allergies suck. They're so frustrating. Benadryl doesn't really do a think for Marcel. Luckily, he doesn't itch though - he mainly just chews his paws and has the eye stuff.

| Thanks Ann. I just pulled his lower lid down and no redness. Okay, that's good
