| Yes, she needs to see a vet. Is she being treated for her heart disease? What have you been trying to feed her?

| will not eat First thing you need to do is stay on top of this, your vet needs to know whats going on with her this means on a daily base. With chf you become tired, because you build up fluid in your lungs.ask the vet to see if she will do better with lasix, this removes the fluid, she will pee alot, why the fluid is removed. Our dog had this also and we had had to watch her intake of fluids.I deal with this daily in the emergency room. Please keep us informed.. hope and pray she gets better, the gang.Molly,Andy,Baily,Midge,Bella and last but not least Dozzer............cath54 |

| You definitely need to stay on top of CHF. Tell your vet right now what is going on. Always keep him in the loop. There are a number of options, and signs and symptoms you need to be aware of. The link below is an article about CHF in dogs. Please take a minute to read it. It will give you invaluable information on handling the disease. I say this from experience, be attentive to your baby. At this stage it can be effectively maintained. Best wishes link |

Cottage cheese, yogurt, boiled chicked added to her food may also get her interested. Poor little girl. You do need to let your vet know what is going on, and talk over solutions with him or her.

| Sorry to say we had to put her down today, thanks for all your support, she got so bad this morning, she was weezing really bad and couldn't get her breath, we took her to the vet and we decided not to prolong her agony. The house has been so quiet today. She was the life of our household till this came about. We miss her dearly. Last edited by molney; 03-28-2009 at 06:13 PM. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so sorry to hear about your baby. I lost my Pom last month to CHF. Similar situation, she was doing ok on the medicine but one morning wouldn't eat which never happens and her breathing was bad. I had to but her down that afternoon. At least they are now able to breathe easy and run free.
