| Beef Allergy We recently noticed that when we gave our 4 year old rescue canned beef flavored food she itches more often and is licking her feet. I know a lot of yorkies have allergies so what experiences can you share? Should I take her to a holistic vet or her normal vet to get her checked for this? |

| Itching and foot licking are both common signs of allergies. Can you switch to a chicken or fish based kibble? Grains can also cause similar problems. I switched Lola over to Innova Evo Chicken and have had no itching problems since. |

| Beef is a common allergen. If your Yorkie feels better by just elimating it from the diet, there is really no reason to go any farther with testing but be careful about drugs that are flavored with beef and any food or treat that says things like "meat meal" instead of naming the meat because it likely includes beef.
