| Mia eats Rabbit and Bird poo!!! YUK!!! Ug! We have rabbits in our neighbourhood and the birds love my little tree so I have a quite a bit of poop out in my yard and every time we go out for potty training I spend more time telling her not to eat the poop than telling her to go pee. HELP!!! Why is she eating it? I get that there is protiens left in it and all that crap (pardon the pun hee hee) but grossssssssssssssssssss! Is it something she will grow out of? She eats really well so I know she's not hungry and its the food the vet recommended so she's not lacking in any vitamins. But the rabbit pellets are almost like treats to her, she bounces and pounces on them and is just sooooo excited to be eating poo..... yuk. Any suggestions?

| One of my sisters dogs ended up getting worms from eating rabbit poop. Are you using a harness and leash on her where you can pull her away from it? |

| Oh yes, I pull her away immediately and say "Yuck... noooooooooo" so she knows I don't like it, but like I said.... to her its almost like a treat! I just wormed her this morning too so I will definately keep an eye out for worms, Thanks for that heads up!

| My furbabies eat anything that is on the ground. We don't have rabbits here, but we have a cat wandering into our yard....ewww. I know your frustration. Can you get a trap from fish and game to catch the rabbit and take it to another area??

| Got out before on your own and put vinegar all over the bird/rabbit poo you see. They go get the dog and let him sniff it. He should back of right away. Eventually he should loose interest in it. You need to be patient and do this a few times, but I guess this is the key of all dog training.. repetition. Good luck |

| Yikes..... I'm kinda semi rural and I don't think I could trap all the rabbits or spray all the poop... I guess I'll have to keep her to the pavement. Maybe I could find some pellets and put them up on the pavement, spray them, let her sniff the sprayed until she looses interest and then let her back in the yard.... hmmmmmm.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I thought that's what our Yorkie was eating since when I get to her I can never find anything. We have tons of squirrels in our neighborhood, especially since the woman across the street feeds them. Everyone else in the neighborhood would like them to thin out or go away. I will try the vinegar once the yard is in better shape. We have two things back there now, snow and mud. UGH!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Yuckk!!! Same with Lola!! She won't eat dog poop, but I swear she'll eat any other type of poop!! It's DISGUSTING! The worst part is, if it happens when I don't notice, her breath REEKS of poop!! If we're on a walk or something and she picks it up, she will treat it like a stick, and think I'm playing when I tell her to drop it. She'll just run off with it hanging out of her mouth!! She also likes to roll in poop! She loves goose poop! That's definitely her favorite. I wish I had some suggestions for you, but I'm in the same boat! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Ugh, it's a tough one bc you probably like those birds in your tree, too. But, bird poop can carry giardia and lots of other stuff - so it's probably good to keep the poo away. I don't really have good suggestions to add, wish I did!

| Nikko says bird and rabbit poo is a special treat, yummy! Thankfully we don't have any in our gravel yard. Perhaps you could find/create a smallish 4x4ft area that you diligently personally keep clear of all foreign poop and the grass cut really short so you can see it all, then always take her only to that little area to do her business.
