| Maddie was on Innova when i switched her to Evo, which she had really bad diarrhea with. I think it's just too rich and high in protein for her. She's now on Canidae, loving it and is doing well on it. |

| I got Evo in the yellow bag Ahhhh, but here's my dilemma...I went to the only place in my area that sold Evo, and they didn't have Evo Puppy, and she said the Evo in the yellow bag would be o.k....I haven't opened it yet, but she gave me a sample, and I tried a few grains, and Apple went nuts for it! Should I take it back, until I find Evo Puppy? Maggie & Apple xoxox |

| EVO does not come in a puppy formula, Evo is an all life stages food. Some feel young puppies should not feed a high protein food like Evo, I started Snick on it at about 7 months and he has been doing great on it for the past month. LOVE IT!!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I really like EVO for a lot of reasons -- I do appreciate that they don't plow a bajillion ingredients into the food.

| Hi! Here's your thread. So, you can only find the Evo for adults, but not the one just for puppies. Right? Does it say "all stages"?

| I would continue with the food your breeder had your pup on and gradually transition to the Evo if it's different. I think you're okay since it's an "all stages" food.

| If you're pup is an active one, I think it would be fine, just be sure to gradually transition her like you are doing. If your baby is a couch potato and loves to lay around and is not very active, I would get a lower protein content food like Wellness Core, Taste of the Wild, Natural Balance, or Merrick's BG. If you can find Orijen, they are an amazing company and has a puppy food. Just be sure to monitor her, if the food does not agree, you will see that. Also, the full effects of food cannot be seen until about 1-3 months of use. I can see the difference in Snickers after 1.5 months of use. Great energy, 2 small poops a day, great fur, TONS less itchies. We walk Snickers 2 times a day and play with him a ton!! This is he only food he will eat dry on his own w/o modifications. Snickers is PICKY..!!

| I bought the evo small red meat or something like that, none of mine liked it, so gave it to the big dogs. I do know the people at the petstore said one vet in town is very impressed with the small red meat bites and is promoting it |

| my kids did horrible on evo and did not really enjoy eating it ... i am glad others have such great success with it because it is such a good food i was really disappointed it did not work for us! my kids would only pick at it (except bentley who would eat ANYTHING ) and they had the biggest, smelliest poos EVER so obviously they did not digest the high protein well. i have them on natural balance and they are doing great

| I remember when we 1st started Snick off on Evo, he has these massive steaming logs of poop as well, SO GROSS!! I was a bit alarmed but then had read somewhere on here to give the food some time to adjust so we did and after a few days saw normal poops. When you change foods, there will be stool changes so be in the lookout for it Now sometimes I think he has more to poop out they are so small!! I always think about switching to raw after reading all the rave reviews but don't think I ever could. Was a vegetarian for 10yrs!!
