| can yorkies have cream cheese? milu is very picky eater, i try to feed her raw, but she makes a mess, so lately i have been feeding her freeze dried raw, and to entice her to eat it, i would cut the freeze dried into small bite-size chunks for her, and i apply cream cheese to each bite ... is it okay? thanks!

| I give mine a litte bit of low fat organic cream cheese when i have to give them their monthly heartworm medication. I hide the med in the cream cheese. it's okay to give them small amount. My vet was the one that suggested it.

| Not really. Even the low fat could be too high in fat (not sure on the %) but it is high in calories and there are just better things to give. How about low fat, low sodium cottage cheese, low fat plain yogurt or mashed white or sweet potato?

| i just choose low fat ..but then again they only get their special treat once a month with heartworm medication. If you are gonna do daily then , i would get low fat cottage cheese or fat free organic yoghurt such as Stonyfield.

| Depends on how much fat she can take. Sometimes fat can trigger pancreatitis, so giving excessive amounts, even to skinny dogs, may not be okay. How about sweet potato for calories? Most dogs love it and you can mash and spread.
