| Dark Yellow/Brownish Urine My puppy (7 months) started not eating a couple days ago. I called the vet and she said he might just be very picky and as long as he is alert and playing (which he def is), then it should be okay. I did notice, these couple of days his urine is much darker in color on the wee wee pad. Anyone know anything about this? |

| Is he dringking enough water? If it were me I would take my guy in. But I tend to be over cautious about these things. Did you try adding soft food to kibble to get him to eat? I would go in for that as well. I would take the pad in with you to show the vet. Wish I could be of more help.

| Have you tried some wet food? He may be having pain from his teeth. He's at that age. And wet food will get him water, too, which is good in this case. It sounds like he just isn't drinking enough.

| I dont know how much water is enough for a dog ... he drinks but not often. I have tried wet food, which he LOVES. But he walked away the last two days. The only thing he responds to are these treats I've always used called the Loved Dog treats. They are like mini hot dogs. |

| Urine with any type of orange tint in a Yorkie would concern me. With some of the other things you have mentioned, I think it would be worthwhile to check for liver shunt. Average water intake would be somewhere around an ounce of water per pound of dog per day. So a two pound dog should drink about 1/4 cup if they are getting no canned food.
