Is this Environmental Allergies?? Ms. Peka always has tear stains, which comes along with her being a yorkiepoo. We clean them off and go on. But lately, since yesterday, she has been having more "eye boogars" that are more of a yellow color. Like a person gets when they have pink eye. Could this be allergies? Does anyone else experience this? Is it a vet emergency??

It sounds like she could have conjunctivitis which is pink eye in dogs. Yes, she needs to see your vet unless you have some Terramycin handy (I always keep some in my first aid kit). Terramycin for Infections in Dogs Cats Cattle Sheep and Horses Be very careful as it is contagious to humans.

You can use some natural tears, Rinse eyes 3 to 4 times a day for a couple of days. This usually works even for infection, if the infection is mild. Make sure it's just natural tears and nothing else is in it, like gets the red out or anything for allergy eyes Do Not Use.
