				   | How much poop is too much poop?? My Daisy goes 5 to 6 times a day! It is always firm and formed, never runny. She was on Iams puppy but I just switched her to Merricks Puppy Plate. She is very active and healthy but I feel like I am always picking up poop! Oh, she is 4 months and weighs 3 lbs. Do all Yorkies poop this much???? |

				   | Are you feeding her the recommended amount of food (marked on package) for her weight?

				   | I just stumbled on this thread. Hmmmm - my Bailey goes once a day and always has. Sometimes in the a.m. and sometimes in the p.m. - that part varies - but only once a day. I feed her once at 5:30 a.m. and then again at 5:00 p.m. and of course, she gets some treats inbetween.

				   | I think it has to do with the quality of food.Better quality means less waste.I could be wrong but I believe I read this somewhere before and I do notice a difference with mine.I have 5 and I feed innova.

| YT 2000 Club Member | thats alot of poop.. . How much was she pooping while on the Iams? How long has it been since you switched to the Merrick? She could be still adjusting to the food change. Merrick is certianly a higher quality food but if she continues to poop that much she probably isnt getting what she needs from the food.

				   | I feed Lexie chicken soup for the soul, she goes 2x a day, that is with free feeding since she is tiny. Jazzie is on innova and goes 1x or 2 at the most. Perhaps the ingredients don't agree with your furbaby.

				   | I do free feed her. Also, I just switched her to the Merricks 2 days ago. She loves it! I had heard that the better quality food = less poop as well. She certainly looks and acts as if she is getting what she needs. Maybe it is just her! We have started calling her Poopsie! |

My guess would be that she is still trying to adjust to the new food. I would continue the Merrick for a month or so and if the amount of poo doesnt change then I would consider a different food. good luck!!
