Dr. W didn't have me adding Vit E at first. But the Dog_Liver_Disease group was posting how you should give it when giving Fish Oil. So I asked him and he said 25 IU a day was good. I give her 100 IU of the water soluable Vit E (nature's made I think from costco). Why Clavamox??? I remember Roxy was on that once and by day 8 she had horrible water-poops that lasted for an additional 2 weeks, no joke | |

| Poor Ellie, Hope she gets better. She has gone thru so much but has also educated you on various diseases and you have educated all of us. Thank you. Are there any other options instead of the Intes. Biopsy? I dont like the odds 1-12 die.... |

| those are not good odds but I was thinking about it today- I think it is fair to say taht most dogs who have an intestinal biopsy are not 100% healthy- so obviously the odds are going to be low- but if i am correct- Ellie is in good health with some gastro issues right? I just don't think the odds are reliable to look at face value. |

Also, Ellie is not perfectly healthy. Her liver issues make anesthesia a bit more dangerous for her and when the pancreas is touched during surgery, it can get irritated and maybe even cause pancreatitis. Since she has had it once, I'm concerned about a recurrence. But she is doing pretty well right now, so hopefully we can avoid it. Right now we just need to get her UTI cleared up.
