| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | It's a great treat for them. My brothers Yorkie Lexie loves them. My guys will eat them but they're not their first choice.

| Zack likes his carrots and apples (no seeds), Zeke apples. There's a "sticky" on Dangerous Foods for Dogs in the Health forum and I believe there's one on dangerous plants.

| I have 4 babies all different breeds and they all love carrots. I also give them apples, pears, cucumber and bananas. It has never bothered them.

| ♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | Dogs lack the enzymes to digest raw vegetables, but if they are pulverized or cooked, they can digest them and get nutritional value from them. That being said, most people give raw carrots as something crunchy to chew on...not for nutritional value. I like to think of it like me eating celery.....humans lack the enzyme to digest celery, so when we eat raw celery, we get the water out of it, but the rest just goes on through! Raw carrots are the same for dogs.

| ♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | I know.... Bella will chew them up into teeny tiny pieces, but she spits them out. I even tried putting them in her food...she spit those out too! Silly girl! I guess the chewing is what you want, so if I could just overlook the mess......
