My Yorkie Was On Diamond Too As A Puppy When I got my Yorkie from the breeder in November 2007, he also had his Yorkies on Diamond. He had a kennel of 50-100 Yorkies, so he couldn't feed them the best quality of food. He told me he got this at "Feeder's Supply", which is a chain pet food store here in the Kentuckiana area. He didn't eat much at 10 weeks old, but I wanted him on a better food. Diamond is "Feeder's Supply" brand there. As he started to eat as he grew, he got picky. I went thru 6-8+ types of foods from "Feeder's Supply" to "Kroger's (grocery chain) and then to "Petsmart" where I found "Royal Canine", which is for picky eaters. That was the ticket~! He's been eating it ever since. Small dogs I have learned are picky eaters, not all but a lot are. Talk to the pet food shop employees, read the labels, make your decision on what is good for your pocket book. If he doesn't eat one real well don't give up, until you really notice him/her not eating like sniff and walk away (as mine did). Then you know you need to search again. To me dogs are like humans, they don't like something they won't eat it and/or need to change foods every so often. Good Luck~! |
