| I'm not familiar with normal Protein C results. Does that fall in normal range? The ALT looks great. Has your vet ever mentioned Actigall for the high bile acids?

Results—Specificity for PC activity and TSBA concentrations was similar (76% and 78%, respectively). Best overall sensitivity was detected with TSBA, but PC activity had high sensitivity for detecting PSS and hepatic failure. Protein C activity in microvascular dysplasia (MVD; PC ≥ 70% in 95% of dogs) helped differentiate MVD from portosystemic vascular anomalies (PSVA; PC < 70% in 88% of dogs). A receiver operating characteristic curve (PSVA vs MVD) validated a useful cutoff value of < 70% activity for PC. He said everything else looked good and normal, except for the GGTP was high. He mentioned the gallbladder. When I bring TJ on Friday I am going to ask him to write me a Rx for Actigall, as it would be beneficial for the liver and her gallbladder.

| I'm sorry about the high test results. what symptoms was Roxy having? Do you plan to do an ultrasound or scintigraphy next?

Roxy was first tested about 1.5 yrs ago. Her first post BAT was 100.9 She did have a u/s - but it only showed a normal size and normal shape liver. Next would have been a biopsy, but I don't want to put her thru that. She most likely has MVD and it can only be managed with diet and supplements.

| Actigall will skew the results because it messes with the bile acids, so you would either need to stop the BAT'ing or don't do the Actigall... I don't know anything about the drug except that you have to be careful when using it if your dog has had pancreatitis issues but I probably should study it because it may be a really good thing to use to bring the BA down. I'm not sure though. Ellie's internist said it was an option for us.

I am going to just ask the Vet about it first and then decide...I think it is pretty expensive too
