| Spaying my Yorkies Hello Everyone, I have 3 female yorkies, Macey who is 6 years, Belle who is 6 years and Lola who is 4 years old. I know I should of have them spayed when they were younger but I didn't, I am going to have them spayed next week. I am scared. I am going to have them all done on Wednesday, do you think that this is OK? I will be off of work for 5 days after the spay, my sister lives right next store incase I have to bring one back to the vet for any emergency she would be able to stay with the other dogs. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you all so much. Dawn |

| Welcome to YT. Have you talked to the vet about what type of anesthesia is used, doing preop blood work, etc.? My Yorkie was spayed at age 6 and did fine.

| I agree with Ellie May on this one. They say that with older dogs its harder on them, but if you get the pre-op bloodwork im sure all will be well.
