| Any thoughts on Blue Homestyle Recipe I'm new to this list and appreciate all the info I have read. Sammie is a 13 yo yorkie/maltese mix. He was dxed with CRF March 2008. He's had a bad year being in the hospital 2 times for antibiotics and Iv's. This past week he had vomiting and diarrhea for several days and ended up in the hospital. His appetite is very poor. I think sometimes I'll have a breakdown finding a food he will eat. His normal adult weight was 10lbs and now he is 6.9lbs. I just got some Blue Homestyle Recipe and wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this. He was on Hills Rx Kd and absolutely would not eat it, even with a disguise. I need to get food into him. thanks for any input. cj |

| Is the K/D canned or hard? Have you looked into Royal Canin and Purina veterinary diets? Because of the severity of what is going on, a prescription diet is very important unless you want to talk to a nutritionist and homecook.

| I lost 2 schnauzers in 07 and the other in 08 right before Thanksgiving. They both were on prescription diets and would not eat the dry but they really liked the canned. Its horrible. It looks horrible and dry but they loved it and thats what counts. My little yorkie loves Royal Cannine. I had one schnauzer left and just recently bought another one and they all love Royal Canine. Good luck, and hope your baby will eat the canned. I know how hard it is. |
