| Question about food. Need advice!! My puppy Riley is 13 weeks old and weighs 2.4 lbs. His breeder did not have him on a very high quality food, so I immediatly began adding some Natural Balance small bites in. The problem is, he doesn't seem to like it! He will actually pick through and take out the old cheap stuff! I'm afraid to switch him over 100% to the Natural Balance because I'm not sure he'll eat enough. (It's currently about 50/50) The vet says he is very healthy and he's been gaining weight properly. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone has. I want him to be on a high quality food, especially because of his size. I'm thinking of adding some soft food in once a day with just the NB to make it more appealing. I've also been watching It's Me or The Dog a lot lately and Victoria is always talking about giving your dogs variety. Any suggestions on that? Do most people give their Yorkies variety? or stick to one thing? Thanks for your help. |

| There is are numerous posts and treads about what YTers feed their little furbies. Please browse through the health and diet forum and do a search for food. There lots of info and what each yorkie owner feeds their "kids". We adopted our most recent yorkie boys when they were about 1 and 2 years old. They chow down on Natural Balance kibble, treats and log rolls, and a little Merrick canned. Your little one is still a pup so I can not suggest what would be best. There are many YTers who have had their kids from pups and they will be able to steer you bettter than me. Good luck.
