| spayed for the first time don't know what to do help Hi all, MB says hi to everyone she is doing great. I will be getting her spayed next week and i'm a bit scared since i've heard bad stories - can anyone give me advice? thank you all - I am taking her to an animal shelter where they do it all the time to tons of dogs but is this a good idea? |

| This thread might help you: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...s-spaying.html the only way I'd consider using an animal shelter is if the correct surgical protocol was used and the vet doing the surgery had experience (not a volunteer straight from vet school).

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I would prefer my own vet did a spay surgery, rather than an animal shelter. But if that is what you can afford I do understand. She most likely will be fine. Even though you do hear the bad stories, you have to remember the vast majority of spay/neuter surgeries have no complications.
