| I know you are really worried about her and I don't want to make light of the situation at all because I am certainly not a vet and I don't know everything she's been through medically; but I just wanted to share a few thoughts with you. So in saying that.... I would think that if it's an ear infection and she's on medicine, the ear is going to make her feel awful; ear ache pain is right up there with a toothache, it's just an miserable pain and if your ear or tooth hurts - basically your whole body hurts, I have no idea why that is, but it just is. And then on top of that.... if she's not eating, she may be shaky or nauseous, lethargic, etc. (I get nauseous when I don't eat) and so if she's dealing with the ear pain and the side effects from not eating... and then the vet adds her taking the medicine which causes the other side effects.... That could be why you don't feel she back at 100%. It may really be just the ear ache. And I know with me and the kids, within a day or day and a half of taking the antibiotic, our ears don't hurt anymore, so maybe it will start working and she will feel better really soon. Didn't you make her some chicken, rice and carrots the other day? If I remember right, you said she ate that really well, can you make her some more of that? Or some scrambled eggs? Or do you have to give her kibble right now? I'm just trying to think of something that she could eat. That would make her feel better I bet, maybe perk her energy level up. Somewhere I read something about her nose. Did she hurt her nose and it's having trouble healing? Is that what you/the vet were talking about in a previous post? That would make sense what the vet said about the ear infection putting pressure on her nasal cavity and that would hurt her too. I just want this medicine to work and bring down any swelling and get rid of the infection so she will feel better. Did he give her anything for pain or was it just the antibiotic? Hang in there. We are all here for you and her.

| Thank you for your kind post She didn't get anything for pain, I had some pain reliever left from when she had hurt her nose. I gave her what I had and I also gave her baby aspirin yesterday in the morning which helped too. Yes she had hurt her nose very badly and vets recommended putting her to sleep. Of course I didn't agree and here is my little miracle! She survived and shocked our vets. Of course her nose is still healing some what, as it was VERY BAD! Literally burned off from chemical burns. So how he is thinking that since her nasal cavity is fully open that bacteria may be getting inside causing infection. They haven't dealt with a situation like this before so it is all new and we are learning as we go. Today she is much better, I would say pretty much back to normal. I went out and bought her a can of wellness puppy and she ate that for dinner along with some salmon. She just loves salmon! This morning again she had some of the canned food. I am just a big worry wart as I just don't want to loose my little baby after all we have went through |
