| No. Homemade.. I can't really recommend any canned foods right now. Either they are made in a place that I'm not comfortable with like Menu or they have ingreidnets int hem that shouldn't be in dog food like garlic or their quality control is in question... It's just one of those things that you have to pick a company that you trust and go with it.

| Petco also carries Solid Gold now. They have a puppy formula in dry kibble. Not sure if Solid Gold comes in cans. Do you have a farm or agricultural supply store near you? They carry much better quality foods than Petsmart and Petco with a good selection of dry and canned.

Have you checked any feed stores in your area? I have heard that many of them carry some of the brands like Innova and Natures Variety. (I use those but I get them from a pet food delivery service that we have, I love it!) When I was looking for foods to try, I checked everywhere to see what brands were available for me to buy around here then picked the best from those. You could also shop online if you can't find what you like locally.

Innova is a very good food. Wookie eats the Innova EVO Small Bites Chicken kibble. He loves it and I saw a difference in his coat and eyes when I switched to it (used to use Canidae) He has never liked ANY canned dog food, so I can't tell you much about it, but I have heard their canned is good too.I am just wondering about something. Is is common for a breeder to be using Mighty Dog? Not trying to critizie anyone, but that just struck me as odd.

| It depends on the dog but I would be nervous with food over 20-22% personally and Innova canned is over 35% fat. I just think Yorkies are too prone to pancreatitis for that but your dog may do well on it.

| See if the stores you've found carry Nature's Variety - they have good dry and canned. Also, it's perfectly fine to feed one brand of dry and other of canned. That way the babies get a lot more variety in their diet. So, you could feed Innova dry and find a good quality canned to go with it.

Have you thought about also adding raw in addition to or in place of canned? Natures Variety has a rotation diet that I am trying, but I am staying with the Innova EVO kibble. You could look on the Natures Variety website and find out more about it if you were interested. I really like the ideas behind it and my hollistic vet is in favor of it.

| Some good canned ones are Nature's Variety, Merrick, Wellness (may want to avoid fish ones for now). Someone at the store you go to should be able to help you find a good one if you mention the brands you're interested in. Good luck! Oiliva is lucky to have such a good mommy!
