| Bumping up this thread! My baby is 10 mths and 2lbs and to me he is boney! But vet said he is fine I think he could be just a tad bit thicker! you know. All of my other yorkies are solid. but not rudy.

| Well if you've had a complete vet check with blood work and there is nothing wrong, you could be feeding the wrong food. What is your yorkie's age and weight, and what exactly are you feeding him?

| Nutrical can supress the appetite. Peanut butter would be a better option.

| If he is healthy otherwise, he probably just has fast metabolism. I would be careful how much fat you are giving because of the risk pancreatitis in Yorkies. Evo has a moderate amount but Evo cannned is way too high. How about carbs? Pasta, oatmeal, rice? or more food in general like canned?

| Baxter seems skinny to me too. He weighs 6.5 lbs though. But I can feel his bones so easy. He's just turned one so maye he'll bulk up a little. He's 10 inches long. My husband says I just want him to be fat like my outside dog. But I really don't but he is so thin. He eats well also but he does do a lot of running around so maybe he's burning it off. |

| our baby mikki, 9 months, is pretty thin too and she has a clean vet check... hubby calls her his 'lean, mean kissing machine'... actually i'm glad that she's not really heavy b/c that puts a lot of stress on her knees and bones... as long as you can't feel the spine and the hip bones really prominent it's fine... |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I am feeding my girl, Sold Gold Wee Bites!! She is the only one skinny. She is free feed. The vet says she is fine. Just skinny. I even had her on EVO Red Meat and she only put 1/2 pound on then she lost it right before we go to a dog show. But thanks for the help. I will try pasta! She loves it. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | No, she loves the ring. She is a hole different dog there. She is for the most part a nervous dog. But not the ring she get's all happy and perky. She loves her kennel. We stopped treating her like a show dog thinking that would help. But no!! I well try anything. I think that it is also effecting her heats. Like you said she just may end up being skinny. |
