| They need to eat when they're pups. Mine is 7 mos old, and I usually put her food down 2-3 times a day for her. She weighs around 2 lbs. She also goes out in the kitchen and eats out of the other dogs bowl(I free feed all of them). I never worry at that age how much they eat, as they need more than adult dogs. Have you tried free feeding her, and how much are you giving her each time? Dog food bags say how much to feed them a day |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | At 8 wks old, I'd be feeding her at least 3x a day - and actually I'd feed 4x at that age.

| Yorkies come in all different sizes. You can't not feed her in hopes that she stays 3lbs. At 8 weeks and three pounds, she will probably be around 8 or 9lbs. It is just her. It doesn't mean she's fat. You are doing the right thing by feeding her several times per day, she's too young not to be fed frequently. Good luck with your baby!

| My two pups are a few days shy of 2 months and they weigh just about 2.5 lbs each. I feed them 4 times a day. I measure out how much they should eat daily & just divide that into 4. If you are feeding kibble, the bag should tell you how much she should eat daily. Congrats on your new pup! |
