| Where are all the Prey Model peeps??? I have a question.....PLEASE HELP! Oh my gosh you guys, so when I was picking up some more Primal pre-made the other day and decided to get a pack of chicken necks for the boys thinking they looked like good chewing bones. So I thawed them, took off all the skin, fat and excess meat for starters and put them in the boys' xpen for 5 minutes of chewing. OH MY GOD THEY ATE THE WHOLE THINGS BEFORE I COULD TAKE THEM AWAY!!! I am sitting there watching them chew for seriously less than two minutes and all the sudden I notice Ryder's was disappearing and I yelled for DH to grab him so I could get the bone and GULP it was GONE!!!! I am freaking out!!! I was just meaning for them them to chew for a few minutes. I purchased those because they looked like the least fatty option. I am assuming they are going to have some sort of GI upset?? Can someone help me?

| Most dogs that eat PMR eat meals that include the bone. They should be fine.

As an update, they are fine. I had to crate both of them last night because they were restless I am sure from being so full. There was no throw up and totally normal poo, so I will just keep watching them.

| Hey lady! They are fine, albeit tired, but fine. They didn't sleep so great last night, I told them it served them right for being gluttons. The rest of those chicken necks are going in the garbage, and I guess I am going to have to get them a freakin' femur bone from a dinosaur from now on!!

Normally Ryder is like Marcel- he will have a bully stick for 10 times longer than Ranger, but he was all about getting that in his tummy!

| OMG that's a scare! The first raw meaty bone I gave Lola was a chicken leg. I was amazed to see her tear it apart! She loves them. But...I have to stay away from her when she's eating though as she's afraid I'm going to take it away and starts gulping! I read somewhere that the bones should be bigger than their mouths to prevent it. The bones must actually be chewed. Glad your baby is okay! |

| I have read and read and read. I'm a bit fanatical about it. I eat very healthy and wanted to feed Lola what is best for her too. Wylie's Mom gave me a lot of information and links. I was a wreck the first time I gave her the chicken leg bone and all. But then I sat back and watched her and the fear is gone! Maybe try a rib bone? It's firmer and one solid piece. They wouldnt be able to gulp it. Don't be afraid. They'll love you for it Btw....Lola hasn't chewed on a single shoe since I went raw. |

My boys have been on raw (pre-made) for quite a while now. I just hadn't gone to the bones yet. I will absolutely stick with raw but I don't think the bones are for me. It totally grossed me out I couldn't even eat my dinner! They will continue their raw and will get bully sticks to keep their teeth clean
