| Pudding Poop I got my third and last (honest) Yorkie on the ninth of December. She has had pudding poop since she arrived. I have tried adding rice to her food for about 3 days but it did little good. She checked out fine at the vet healthwise. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Welcome to YT! Your title made me laugh, I never heard that term before You can give her some canned pumpkin (not pie filling - just plain 100% pumkin) to help her stools along. Hopefully, that will help. What food is she on? Has she eaten anything out of the ordinary?

| I had heard that and will probably try that next. I am in Eastern Washington and have been snowed in for the last 5 days. No let up in the snow yet either. As soon as I can get someone to plow me out I will go to the store. As far as I have seen she has not eaten anything besides what I have given her. She is on Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul. It is a holistec food. From what I read it could be caused from the new situation (believe me she does not seem nervous), or the new food, or that she is eating too much. I have cut down the amount she eats at one time, she does eat until her tummy is huge. She gets more meals but smaller. How long should I give her the pumpkin? |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Sometimes the stress of moving to a new home can bring on coccidia. It's a parasite and would require antibiotics from the vet....when you can tunnel out. Feed her a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. Nothing else...no treats. After 3-4 days...gradually add her normal food to this decreasing the chicken/rice until it's just kibble. I give mine a tablespoon of pumpkin for diarrhea...this is per day and I do that for the 3-4 they're on the bland diet also.

| Thank you xmasbaby75 and bchgirl for your help. I will try the diet and pumpkin as soon as I can. This little girl is as wide as she is long and high. She is very "robust" and I would like to keep her that way! I will have to get my pictures of my babes on this forum too. |

| I would also add a probiotic to her diet after getting her fecal done.

| Pumpkin We do a single tablespoon every day -- even if she is not sick. Our dog has never had loose stool or constipation... and believe me... she has eaten things that should have given her a bad few days!! |

| Thank you all so much for the info. I started the rice & boiled chicken and the pumpkin yesterday. She is better already. I am also trying to give her more attention as she has to get used to the other dogs as well as the new home. Merry Christmas to everyone! |
