Have you checked out Blue Buffalo? (I know you were asking about the two, but it may be worth looking at the web site.) That's what we use. |

Thanks for the info. Prince's mom I only |
Wow ! I have been trying to decide which food would be best for Chloe & Sydney ..Chloe is on Blue Buffalo now but doesn't seem fond of it , and Sydney couldn't handle the switch. I was thinking of doing a combo of NVraw in the evenings and a kibble during the day. I was leaning towards Wellness , then I see this !! Even though I most likely wouldn't be using the fish I wouldn't feel very good about the product as a whole given the care they take with the food. And then to see the same in NB , I'm shocked! Maybe I will stay on BB or try the NV kibble. who knows anymore ! I only want to do whats best for my furbabies , but Lord only knows what "best" is anymore ! It seems no matter what you can't find the one "perfect" food :( |

I was thinking about all raw also , but liked the idea of a combo. raw and kibble diet. I really didn't know about the nutritional value ( or lack thereof) of the kibble I was feeding them in the beginning, then when It seems I start to learn a bit ...I get hit right back to square one  . OH well, back to the drawing board. I will look into the NV kibble to go along with the raw for a rotation diet. I was leaning towards the others because I could buy them locally nearby , I guess I will have to do a larger search of my area. I wish companies would take as much care with the food they expect us to feed our "pets" as they do with the food they feed their children. But I guess thats to much to hope for. |
Wellness I feed Scooter Wellness Adult Chicken. We recently started looking into switching him to thed small breed formula. He has been eating Wellness for a year now and I have never seen a bone. He is not a fan of fish flavors so we have not had the food in the video. While it is scary, I watch Scooter's food closely and if I ever find a bone, you can be sure we will stop feeding it to him. I feel lucky after seeing that video that Scooter does not like fish flavors. As we get closer to the end of his bag of food, we may switch entirely but for now I have been happy. He is a picky eater and we went through several kinds of food before Wellness. Thanks for posting the info and I will be sure to keep an extra eye on his food. |

I just don't get it. How can quality control not see that??? I'm almost to the point where I won't recommend any kibble or canned food because they all seem to be potentially dangerous.:( |
Tammy, how do we know that these are fish bones and not something else? Is it just the appearance? Are they sharp? Just wondering but until we get a good answer about this, I won\'t recommend either brand\'s fish kibble. |
Thanks for all the info. I feed the Boys NB but no fish kibble and Merrick canned varieties. I will be sure to check the kibble tonight. Side note about Merrick, has anyone heard if they have changed their recipes. The first few cans I bought were a lot more liquid in consistency but now it\'s more of a paste like consistency. I also read on another "Dog Forum" that Merrick has a rendering plant right next to their pet food plant in Texas. Merrick is supposed to be so good it\'s sold in some of the local Health Food stores and Holistic oriented pet food shops. |
