| Dew claw injury...my poor baby... One of Tobey's favorite things is for me to put on my fleecy slippers, sit on the couch, and stick my leg out wiggling my foot and he attacks it like a crazy man. Usually grabbing it with his front paws- well yesterday all the sudden he started screaming (yelping). I couldn't figure out what was wrong for awhile, but then i discovered it was his dew claw that must have caught on my slipper because it had bled a little bit. Today he is walking fine and being normal, but if i go to gently touch the area where his dew claw is, he yelps, so it is obviously still tender and painful. Anyone have any idea how long it will take to heal? I don't think it is a serious injury- just a tiny tear i assume?

| Ahhh poor little guy! I would watch it for infection but otherwise I think it is alot like us tearing nail down deep or cutting a hang nail too deep. I would think he'll be sore for up to a week.
