| big poop!!! So my 2 little guys have really big poop. To make you al understand I have a 3lb yorkie and a 4lb yorkie and when they poop I swear it looks like they are great danes!!! I feed then NB potatoe and duck small bites. Well I went to petco today to buy some more food and I was talking to the cashier and he asked me how much I was feeding them and I said well they free feed, but between the 2 of them they go through about 2 1/2 cups or maybe a little more a day... He said that is a lot of food for those liittle guys, and thats why they have big poops.....Has anyone heard of that?? So now I put down 1 1 1/4 cup for them both to eat and when they run out they have to wait until tomorrow( thats what they petco guy said) they seem ok with it...I dont want them to be hungry or underweight or too fat...Does anyone have any advice or should I stick to what they petco guy said??

| That's wayyyyyy too much food. No wonder they have large poops lol. You don't mention how large they are but mine range in size from 3-8 1/2 lbs. and the most any one of them eats is 1cup a day of dry eagle pack |

| My boys are 7# and my girl is 9# - they each get 1/4 cup twice a day plus snacks of fruit/yogurt/doggie treats.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I put out about 1 1/2 cups of dry food, covered with canned Merrick (a can lasts for about 3 feedings) for my 3, and sometimes they don't even eat all of that...and all of mine are over 10 lbs. They do each get a small treat twice daily, when Darcy takes her medicine, usually 1/2 a pupperoni slice, and a chicken strip daily. Occassionally they get a greenie, also. |

| Hmm so whats a good amount for a 3 pounder and a 4 1/2 pounder, I put the food in 1 bowl and they share it. I know they will eat and eat, but I dont want them to not have enough...

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | That's probably too much food . But also, keep in mind that higher-carb diets will produce larger stools too.

| You know the old saying "You are what you eat!". What goes in has to come out.... hopefully you will get it under control. Good luck!
